XPS Urethane‑X

How to Use XPS Urethane-X

Start with the existing flooring system. XPS Urethane-X is a protective topcoat, not a primer or direct-to-concrete coating. Apply it over a compatible, fully cured resin coating.

Prepare the surface properly. Remove dust, oil, grease and other contaminants. Abrade smooth or previously cured coatings to create a suitable mechanical key, then remove all sanding dust before application.

Check the site conditions before mixing. Temperature, humidity and dew point can affect working time, cure and final appearance. Make sure the floor, tools and installation team are ready before combining the components.

Agitate Parts A and B separately, then mix the complete kit according to the latest technical data sheet. Add the optional fine aggregate during mixing when the specification requires a lightly textured finish.

Apply the coating evenly with the recommended roller, then cross-roll at a perpendicular angle. Keep a wet edge and stir the material regularly if aggregate has been added, as it may settle during application.

Allow the surface to dry and cure before returning it to use. Drying time is typically around 10 to 12 hours, but temperature and site conditions may change the actual result.
